Vehicles in German Town Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were contacted by a man who discovered a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Around 50 automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found multiple other vandalized cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police state initial examinations indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; officials are currently not informed of any physical harm in association with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the community for details.

A senior representative said the vandalism left him without words and needed to be solved quickly.

"This incident affects the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he posted on social media, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter focusing on people of migrant background in five years prior.
